Well I'm in the middle of the exams right now. For some reason though all the content is harder it seems easier to manage now compared to last time in Cedar. Is it conditioning in Cedar? Or maybe maturity? Or is it the knowledge that everyone's going to fail together so no pressure? HAHA More likely the last one LOLS. Top Girls is eating my face .

I NEED THIS PUFF. It's an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Japanese sponge that apparently removes hair easily and painlessly if you just rub it on your skin. Goodbye tweezers rofl.

I'm going to go hunt for it after my exams are over. Apparently you can get it from SASA (image from the SASA online catalogue). Oh and I'm also going to get GP tuition. Definitely GP tuition. I know when I need tuition LOL. Wonder what returning to tuition is going to be like. Haven't had tuition since P5? ._. Going to be a bit scary methinks.

Believe it or not, I'm back. Except... There's probably no one left to read this. Hehe. Sorry guys .

Well, it's the school holidays. I believe this is probably my most restful holiday in years. I'm even going to Malaysia for a short getaway this Saturday. Yay me!

I'm back on the computer a lot, playing games like Maplestory . Yes, Maplestory . Let's just say I've returned to "the Good Ol' Days" despite the serious lapses in service these days. Maplestory just isn't as great as it was last time, despite the lack of 4th job and the overcrowded PQs. People were just... nicer. Now I practically have to get down on my knees and beg someone to stop KSing me . *Sigh*

The good news is, I found some nice people to hang out with and a wonderful guild called xPromises. Which I think I might love more than my old one. Lovely people there , who talk crap all the time and piss me off alot. But tolerate my nonsense so patiently that it touches my soul .

Hope I find the time to study effectively, stop being distracted and be a good role model for the other peeps in the guild (), all of whom are younger than me with the exception of 2. Exams first week of school !

More than that, hope I get through the exams, Harp test and NAPFA with a breeze. I don't know when I will come back, but you'll hold on won't you ? Good cos' you have no choice unless I delete you . Heehee!

This week marked the end of Orientation2011 and the beginning of the new year! Happy Chinese New Year everyone! I'm happy that the new year has finally begun cos' Dogs have better luck this year. I know, stupid reason but still.

Orientation was really fun. I have a wonderful OG (ZEB!) although there are some people I don't like all that much. The guys, especially Benjamen and Kenneth are friendly people, though Ben is really jaded and blah (replacement for Queenie? *wink*). The girls are nice too. Wanqi is really sweet and helpful and Facebooker Dawn created facebook for me (though I still haven't logged on- I have a group of active facebookers =/). Campfire night was really scary but also quite fun. The ACJ people are wilder than Cedarians. =="

AND I GOT TWICE AS MUCH ANGBAO MONEY AS LAST YEAR! IT WAS LIKE ALL THE $4 ANGBAOS BECAME $10 ANGBAOS. I REALLY HAVE TO THANK ALL MY RELATIVES FOR BEING SO GENEROUS THIS YEAR!!!

Anyway, I've started going to school at ACJC (Anglo-Chinese Junior College). Don't ask me why I didn't go poly. (Let's just say it was parental consent issues.) Even so, ACJC is really fun and I think I'd probably enjoy myself there. Never thought I'd say I enjoy school but yeah. It's fun.

Today, I finally graduated from Cedar. It was somewhat bittersweet though I can't say I can't bear to leave. Graduation itself was very emotional. People kept crying! (Stop crying k.)

Anyway, this is our 'theme song' since we are the Sensational Class of 2010. (Chosen by Mrs Lim Kim Choo *gags*). At first I didn't like it but it sort of grows on you, ya get my drift?

I love our class identity (Courtesy of Mdm Audra *hugs* ) and I received my Report Slip+CCA Record+Testimonial from Mdm Lum and she was really sweet! I know I usually seem to hate my teachers but this time, I feel this great sense of emotional attachment to them.

I read all the letters/notes from my classmates and their really sweet! I feel embarrassed but at the same time flattered while reading them. I have the best classmates ever!

{NOTE} In my new brower, Google Chrome, I can't change font colours! Apparently it's a common problem for many Chrome users. *sigh* I always did love FF more but these days it kept crashing for me so I had to uninstall. Now I have to switch to IE to add colours which is very irritating with the blogging tools cos' for some reason, all the paragraphs align themselves together (ie. when I align one paragraph right, everything goes right)!!!!!! And sometimes, the buttons don't even work!? AND they automatically change the stuff I want to do, like links to something I don't want to do! What, so from now on, I have to change formats and type on Chrome and change colours on IE?! It's like drawing or something, 1st sketch then colour. I DON'T WANT THAT FOR MY BLOGGING EXPERIENCE. AND TO TOP IT OFF WHEN I CHANGE FONT SIZE IN CHROME IT DOESN'T APPLY IN IE. THE SAME POST! I JUST SELECTED THE UNFINISHED DRAFT! ARGHARGHARGH!!!!! Blogger better get their act together or I will hop over to wordpress/tumblr. They have nicer templates now anyway.

Hip Hop during PE is back~! For only 2 weeks including this week, though. We're learning this new dance that has some funny CHA-CHA-CHA moves.

I'm back! And wow, do I have a lot to update~!

#1: My new phone, a maroon-red HTC Smart . I know I used to say I hate touch screens but this was the best phone I could get on a trade in ($0!). And I have to admit it's a pretty good deal. But when I went home to try using it, I realised that it has problems (when I have songs on the memory card it doesn't show up in the library of the music player ! I'll try to get it fixed but since it's a very minor problem, I'll just wait 'till it's convenient.

#2: NDP. Oh what a stain on my memories it was. Though it was great that we could sit in the 2nd row as they didn't want senior citizens (my grandparents, not me) to climb up the stairs, we were seated in the same side of the padang as the stage so we couldn't see a thing . Honestly, the best thing about the whole NDP was the fun bag which wasn't the design I hoped to get (despite managing to get 6 since there were 6 of us) . Also, when all the spectators were going to the MRT station, it was really crowded, as expected so we were walking at a literal snail's pace. I have no complaints about that but they could have turned off the announcement system instructing, "To go to City Hall M-R-T Station, turn right. To go to Esplanayde M-R-T Station, turn left!" over and over again. It really got on my nerves ! But ah-well, it was a free thing so...

#3: Start of Prelim Exams + YOG. It really pisses me off that Prelim Exams coincided with YOG causing us to be unable to watch anything live at the stadiums . I couldn't support Natasha (who was sailing) and it made me feel like a terrible friend . Seriously, it's a once in a lifetime thing and I didn't get to participate because of exams. The teachers could have pushed exams backward or even brought it forward. What's the point of trying to hype us up for YOG when they don't even let us soak in the Singapore Spirit at the actual venues ?

#4: English 'O' Level Oral Exams. It went pretty well, despite me being last. I'm very satisfied, which can only mean good things !

#5: Chinese 'O' Level results. I got an A2 with a distinction in Paper 3 (Oral+listening, big surprise! ) and I'm not retaking because I think I'll probably get the same thing again if I retake, despite what my friends told me, and that would be a waste of time and exam fees . It's kinda tiring to have to explain why I'm not retaking to various people over and over again . Sometimes I feel like my grandmother is the only person left in the world who feels happy that I got an A2. *sighs*

#6: End of Prelims. Well, that was a rough experience. (Probably failed: Japanese. Maybe failed: Math, AMath. Humiliating.) Perhaps the biggest crush was Japanese cos' I put in a lot of effort on it. And maybe it was because I was bent on presenting my best piece of work that I had no time to complete my picture essay. And maybe if I hadn't bothered with giving the examiner a perfect essay, my draft wouldn't be full of cancellations, illegible writings and word counts and my essay would be longer than 2 sentences. Yes, 2 sentences. Please no comments on this. I've had enough of sympathetic reassurances and advices on what I shouldn't have done (which I couldn't have done). Sometimes I feel like nobody understands. A sad notion reflecting reality.

Possible Prelim 2 L1R5: 15~20 points? *sigh* I guess it's pretty decent considering what people around me have. And it's enough to get me into the Game Development course at Temasek Polytechnic. So I shall try to look on the bright side on this one .

#7: Start of September School Holidays. One step closer to 'O' levels . I have to admit I'm feeling the pressure (mostly coming from school teachers) but I try to keep that relaxed bo chap attitude so I don't kill myself .

My mum commented that the opening cut looks like HK Drama style (ha! Mediacorp is copying/learning!). I'm watching it to the end for sure!

Since tomorrow I'll be going back to school, as usual, to a world of routine, boredom and conformity (boring!), I thought I might give a little update.

Yesterday, I went on the SINGAPORE FLYER! My aunt had free tickets, so I got to see the Marina area from above for the 1st time. We timed our 'flight' to coincide with the fireworks from the NDP Rehearsal so we got to see it at almost perfect timing! It was awesome and a perfect preview for the real NDP next Monday! I can't wait since I'm going to watch it 'Live' with my family this year!

Today was also a funday as I saw 欧宣 while I was having brunch at Longhouse. She was drinking Teh-O and eating duck porridge at the table right in front of my family so it was really cool! I think her favourite colour is white cos' she was wearing all white and she drove away in a white Mazda. Siyan was so envious of me~!

Ahh well... it's time to go to sleep. Goodnight, me (since hardly anybody reads my blog)!

Today I am in an especially good mood because I had a fun day !

fastforward... TO THE BEGINNING!

Today was Sports Day but I didn't go for it because (a) it would be boring, (b) 1/2 my class weren't going so the whole mood would be ruined, (c) neither I nor any of my class, for that matter, was even participating in any events so it would be pretty pointless going there .

Instead, I met Jaesy for some studying at AMK Library and SUMO HOUSE ! Which was awesome, by the way, even if it doesn't sound like it. It was so fun! We were silent laughing non-stop cos' it was the library.

We soon realised that it was a GREAT IDEA to not go for Sports Day cos' they cancelled it in the end as it was raining all the way! So I would have woken up early for nothing ! But the bad news is, all those people's hardwork painting the banners, rehearsing cheers and generally getting ready would be for nothing! And we paid for the stuff for nothing too! But I guess since they haven't showed much of the stuff yet, they could probably keep it somewhere for next year ? It's really bad news for them !

Another humourous thing about today was that Jaesy kept repeating that I'm from a cult, cos' I wore a black top with this necklace which she commented was what occult people wear. And also she randomly started dancing and singing when we were walking around. Thanks for the embarrassment, Lim Jae Sy .

I'm rather happy, though, because I was more productive than I expected today . I finished all the stuff I brought there to do so I rewarded myself by reading Batman comics . Batman is one of my favourite heroes . Jaesy is extremely confused about who is from DC and who is from Marvel . Yet another source of entertainment .

One day, I would like to visit this place (Wales). Only, it would be pretty expensive and I would have to endure a long plane ride. That, and their Welsh accent would probably be pretty hard to decipher.

*Sigh* yesterday was our last Hip-hop lesson for PE . We had only 3 lessons... Our coach, Maybelle from Studio Wu was really patient even though our class, me included, had 2 left feet. We learned a dance to Magic by One Way, which is not a bad song.

It was also our last Community Singing session (National Day song practice sessions), which is quite sad, cos' it means we don't get to waste time during reading anymore ! That's actually the reason they stopped the sessions, though. They thought we were wasting too much time.

We also had our last Biology SPA (yay! ). But it was very difficult . They should have given that for the practices and put one of the practices for the actual thing! So difficult !

Today was my 'O' Level Chinese listening comprehension examination! I'm just glad it was over. Sure, it was difficult but it could have been worse . I'm praying hard that I aced Chinese overall so I don't have to retake it .

Yesterday, I was reading my old Crunchyroll forum posts in the LOVE Singapore forum. Lets just say it was a good laugh. When you read lots of threads at once, you tend to remark at how many lewd jokes were made and how many I didn't get at the time . It's also a reminder of how un-innocent I have become . People who know me now would be like, "Shihui was once innocent?" Haha !

Today was Leaders Investiture! The cause of me staying back until 7pm rehearsing !

All went pretty well and we got to miss all the periods after reading (which was community singing ).

The icing of the cake was, the background music they played was by Coldplay! They played Life in Technicolor I! Which I ! Though I don't think many people recognised it, especially the first part because it is the 1st track on Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends and is instrumental.

Before that was community singing, like I already mentioned. It was quite ahem cos' Ms Chye was, as usual, ridiculously demanding and was all like pitch this, rhythm that . But it is cool that Ms Lim and some other Cedarian I don't know appear in the National Day Song (Song for Singapore by Corrinne May) Music Video this year . Oh that reminds me! Since my family successfully managed to get the free NDP tickets, we get to see Ms Lim in action conducting the NDP Choir! Awesome !

{NOTE} I forgot to mention that when I was on stage I was looking for my friends in the audience but I couldn't find them. However, after the whole thing was over, Jaesy told me that I actually smiled in their direction though I couldn't see them, giving them the false impression that I managed to find them. The irony !

Construction site food, anyone? 天外天 @ Macpherson.
This is the least of the problems there. (You could actually consider it a creative dining experience.) Among other things, there were rabbit sized rats, an hour long wait, a drink lady that noticed us only after we finished our food and a money collector that rushed to make us pay the moment our food was served (after an hour).
NO WONDER IT WAS SO CROWDED!

I suggest you make yourself comfortable, cos' this is going to be a long post. (I have to cover much of the June Holidays). Now I shall begin with the most difficult to remember memory...

First, in the 2nd week of June, I got my Wii! In a nice ceremony with a good buffet on the top floor of the National Library at that! And, it was a BLACKCOLOUREDLIMITEDEDITIONWiiATTHAT! HOOOOOOOOORAY !

In the 3rd week of June, I went out with Siyan and her friend, Joey (wow, I remembered that), to watch the Karate Kid and eat at Seoul Garden. It was very fun (funner than I expected) and the Karate Kid was an awesome movie. [Don't accuse the makers of the Karate Kid for being ignorant cos the title was from a line from the script and throughout the movie they called it Kungfu !] Siyan can eat much more than when we were children! (Her new nickname is now 饭桶.)

In that same week, I also watched Toy Story 3 with Jaesy for free in 3D (it was my mother's company thing)! I had no idea Jaesy could eat such spicy food, she ate my spicy chicken when I couldn't go on! And I can handle quite spicy food... The other thing is, I would never admit it to Jaesy but I cried at the end of Toy Story 3 when Woody had to leave Andy. It would ruin my reputation if she found out !

The week after that, school started . I finished all my homework except the book review. I'm glad I gave up. Even now I still haven't finished reading. But at least the Time Traveller already lost his Time Machine, so the more interesting part should be coming soon .

Since 9 people from my class switched to Combined Science, Chemistry and Biology lessons are terribly quiet (and boring). Also, when we are in the lab, it's unusually quiet since the people who usually break test tubes combined their sciences .

Chinese lessons are much slacker now since we only have Listening Comprehension Exam left . But if we don't get A1, the school will ask us to retake so most likely, I will end up back where I started .

My class is now the best double science class (tied with 4P) which is a great achievement since we used to be despised, quite frankly, by the teachers. HOORAY FOR IMPROVEMENT!

I flunked my Japanese exam by 1 mark which is sad cos' I did alot of 丸写 to prepare for it.

2 good, reputable restaurants failed me this month, namely the MOF at AMK Hub and the 天外天 steamboat restaurant at Macpherson. I was so angry! They both made me wait for damn long. MOF didn't even give me satisfactory food after the long wait. AMK MOF = 2/10. Macpherson 天外天 = 4/10.

Yesterday, Mabel, Wanting, Queenie and I went to Pizza Hut for lunch. We stayed there for ~2 hours but they didn't chase us out . And 2/3 of the time we were just chatting and asking for more Pepsi cos' it was free flow since we were students. And also going to the toilet . I Pizza Hut. (See, AMK MOF, you can do it too!)

For the weekend, I have a slew of troublesome projects to do with difficult people in my group. Just thinking about it makes me angry. So, I shall shut up .

Oh and in case you were wondering how my computer got fixed, I sent it to the computer shop and the person said it was the speakers cos' I had been listening to music for too long (?), replaced it for $140 and that was that. Yippee !

I'm sorry, but I'm not dead just yet. I'm sure there are some of you who are wondering/hoping if I finally died of heart disease/ cancer/ freak accident/ boring car crash/ execution. However it is evident by the existence of this post that I am most certainly not 'dead'. So ha.

The reason why I have not updated for a long time is because I have been frustrated by the sudden disappearance of sound from my computer. For the first time, I have only a vague inkling of where the problem is and as for how to fix it, I am completely baffled. But I suppose, such a time was inevitable since my computer is already 3 years old and I can't keep fixing it forever, I guess. Anyway, in a last ditch effort to fix it, I did a full system recovery on my computer causing all my programmes to disappear (ie. Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Office, Adobe Web Premium CS3...). Obviously it didn't work since I used the present tense just now. I have a lot of update to do since my life is always fun filled and exciting (minus the homework/ schoolwork/ CCA worries) and I will update when I fix the sound and install all my programmes back.

{NOTE #1} I can't believe I'm using the Internet Explorer I despise. *Sigh*, desperate times call for desperate measures, don't they?

Yesterday I had 2 extremely weird dreams (even by my standards) cos' while it technically could happen, it wouldn't. Allow me to explain.

The first dream took place in a parking lot. Some of my classmates were there but no one I was really close to was there. I was walking with Alicia out of the carpark and I was having brooding thoughts about how stupid school is (no doubt, the dream was brought on by my intense thoughts yesterday). Suddenly a drink can hit my shoulder. I turned around and turns out it was Varsha. She looked quite stunned and I could tell she didn't mean to do it but I went insane, probably because of the stress or whatever. Then I began crying and started throwing anything I could get my hands on everywhere. You'd think people would be scared but no, my class started laughing hysterically. So, obviously, I was humiliated and broke down in front of everybody (not my style but whatever) but they kept taunting me and for some bizzare reason, it was Alicia who was comforting me. Not that I have anything against her but she doesn't seem like the type of person to do such stuff, given that we aren't even close friends. But the voice in the dream was undeniably hers (and my dreams don't usually have people talking and if there are it's usually just me) which just adds to the strangeness. In any case, Alicia then proceeded to reprimand (?) the crowd of people that had formed at the carpark. Alicia doesn't strike me as the confrontational type either so this just adds to the strangeness.

The other dream I had yesterday involved my brother dating Natalie from my school. This just weirds me out now. Heck, it weirded me out in the dream. Natalie playing video games with my brother? That's just ridiculous.

I question my sanity.

Nothing to do with this post. Just funny and I found it awhile ago, when I was in a better mood.

I fucking hate my life at this second.

I want to read fanfics or play games but I can't because I have to read my stupid Japanese book The Time Machine by H.G. Wells so I can do an essay on it and it's fucking boring cos' there are long sequences of dialogue on every fucking page and it's fucking hard to follow.

And just knowing that my suffering will not end once I have finished the fucking book does wonders for my morale. Yes I am maturing reversely as I am now complaining about my fucking holiday homework.

I feel like just going to the library tomorrow, borrowing the English version which I know, writing the essay on that and then translating it to Japanese. Stupid book.

Because of this stupid book I actually have to go to the MOELC Library tomorrow to renew/return it. Stupid library, wasting my time.

Well, now that I'm done venting my anger on my keyboard, I shall now return to my reading. Love the book, Shihui, love the fucking book.

{NOTE} This post shall now be known as the fucking post because it probably has the most 'fucks'. I know, just typing so many in the span of 1/2 an hour (?) shows I'm a pathetic bitch. Yesterday we got back our results for the Math+Science prelim 1 papers. Most of the drama on that morning didn't come from me (ha.) and there was lots of relief and anguish all over the place. I don't quite remember what happened yesterday cos' it's already 10.19 PM today (I know, reeks of short term memory loss). So anyway, I'll now cut to the breakdown of my results, excluding Japanese which I'm pretty sure it's either a B4/C5 by conservative estimate (which, yes, is a bad thing):

AMath: A1 (I know, ironic when you compare it to EMath below)
Geography: A1
Chinese : A1
SS/Lit: A2 (A1 from SS + B3 from Lit)
English: A2
Biology: B3
EMath: B3
Chemistry: B4
L1R5: 10 (an improvement of 3 points from last year's end-of-year exam)

It's nice to know that my A1s outnumber my A2s, B3s and B4s. However, I'm not one to be concerned about results however bad or good they may be so let's move on to the highlight of the day: Class BBQ!

It was at Peiyan's house (thank you Peiyan) and I stayed from 5.15~10. I brought 2 tubs of ice cream but the class only finished 1. Anyhow, I'm glad they ate some in the first place. I was kinda apprehensive that the weight-conscious wouldn't want to indulge in ice cream. Taffy and Soakteng actually thought it was Haagen-dazs before I pointed out that it was actually Walls, ha.

The rest of the food was awesome! Satay+Sausage+Fish balls+Toasted Marshmellows+Pasta (cooked by Varsha+Sarah+Rachel)+Chicken Wings= 1 very happy Shihui. 'nuff said.

We played lots of games too! I learnt how to play 4 cards but I still haven't learnt how to play bridge. Now everybody knows how good I am at cheat and Mabel will never trust me again. I can kick the beach ball better than Jaesy but can't throw straight to save my life. Joelance thinks I'm a perv for knowing when Queenie's period started though she actually just told me yesterday's yesterday cos' it was a bad omen for getting results, apparently. I experienced first hand how nerve-wrecking guessing numbers can be and how motherly Kellie and Peiyan are when they try to force feed people with leftover food. Julene talked to me.

All in all, I had a great time. Yesterday shall forever go down in history as one of the greatest class BBQs of all time (exaggerating but still). It's a pity that we all have to go back to our insanely mundane daily lives. I still haven't properly started on holiday homework. Sad, isn't it? It's almost creepy that I'm not complaining about how much it is. Maybe I've accepted it. Or worse, maybe I've... matured. *dramatic gasps*

Today we got back our Prelim results for English+Humanities. Generally it was good though Literature (Set text -To Kill a Mockingbird) was a slight disappointment. Still, nothing to cry over. The surprise of the day was Social Studies! An A1! And not a borderline A1! Geography was also a major mood uplifter as I also scored an A1 with 1 L3/8 essay (full marks). Haha, Mrs Koh actually wants me to type my answers out so she can "use then showcase". Rather flattering actually.

{NOTE} It feels odd typing/telling/talking about it here cos' I haven't told my parents about it.

I'm a little apprehensive about tomorrow because I know the Math+Science results will be the complete opposite of today's results. But I'm trying not to think about it and look forward to 4i Class Gathering tomorrow at Peiyan's house! I'm bringing ice cream. The more I think about it the worse the idea seems. I hope people eat it cos' it would be embarrassing if they don't and I hope I can find her house easily as ice cream melts in the heat.

Well, that's all for today. I'm going to try typing my answers now. It's a really odd feeling. In Primary 3 I had to type out all of my English essays for Ms Lim. Now it's a little of deja vu, if you know what I'm talking about.

TODAY was my Chinese 'O' level exam. It was neither easy nor hard (which is a good thing). So I went shopping today with myself to celebrate! (Cos' I don't really like the people in my Chinese class.)

ANYWAY this marks the start of an EXCELLENT holiday. WHY? Cos' I-WON-A-Wii!!!! THAT'S RIGHT, I WON TOP 10 IN THE DADSFORLIFE CONTEST! WOOHOO I DIDN'T GET KFC VOUCHERS YESYESYES! Congratulate me please. (Just a joke)

My last prelim paper was yesterday! It went better than expected! Of course there were a few toughies and I'm not completely sure if my essay has strong links.

For the first time I created a holiday timetable which works out studying and playing time. Hahaha! So many people say it works but I don't know yet.

I've started playing Runescape again (I've given up on Maplestory) on the advice and pestering of my brother. Actually it has improved a lot and is quite fun now that I am more experienced with games and know how to make money. In a day, I made 5x the GP I had previously. That's the difference now. No wonder I didn't like it last time. Also, the P2P on Runescape is better than Maplestory's ($10 per month for 7x more worlds VS $10 one time, can buy only some stuff and everything only lasts for 3 months.)

Quick update on my life as of Sunday, May 16 2010, 5.46PM.

#1. I have so little time for rest at the moment that on weekdays my body gobbles up any spare time (and food) I have to keep it happy and healthy. I'm sure the teachers at school wouldn't approve of that (nods to them lovingly ). Thank you teachers for being my most trusted source of assurance. That's right, you let me know that you will always be there to torture me, make me angry, force me to keep it inside and go insane (at least until the 'O's are over). Despite the madness, I hope I find it in my heart to remember the teachers that do care about anything but grades (I'm looking at you, Ms Chng ).

#2. LEC farewell was on Wednesday. As I expected, I couldn't go and had to settle for getting them their gifts (which cost ~$1.60 each), passing them to Mabel (thanks, I owe you) and not getting any of the awesome food I'm sure they got for us. At least I got presents (from Saras&co, thanks, I owe you ). Zhiying said it was awkward and there was an annoying junior there. Nothing I didn't expect there, lol.

#3. Last floorball practice on Friday. I'm sad that I won't get to play anymore (seeing as I have no floorball stick nor ball nor friends with sticks and balls to play with and my prospects of joining an actual team are minute at best) but also slightly relieved seeing as I sustain injuries every lesson and haven't won in ages (with Wanting and Naqiyah on the other team and all...). On Friday I stepped on the stupid ball and slightly twisted my ankle.

#4. I'm being bombarded with Math and Chinese homework. 盛老师 is trying to get us to pick Chinese over the other subjects. However as expected nobody is paying heeds to her pleas and drastic measures. Mdm Lum is confusing and annoying. I stayed up all night to do math and the next day she asks for the other one? Wtf?

#5. My father is in Vietnam, probably relaxing now. He reached the top of What's-That-Name-Mountain this morning. Yay DAD !

#6. I had Dim Sum for breakfast at 红星酒家 this morning. It was every bit as disorganised as I remember it to be. However it tasted just as good too.

#7. My brother got back from camp this afternoon. He has been playing his new game, Battlefield Bad Company 2, since he got back (duh!).

#8. My Exams are ending next next Tuesday. Until then, I still have to face the horror that is Wednesday. 4 papers: Chemistry, Math Paper 1, Math Paper 2, Japanese - yay me!

#9. I still think it's really funny that my brother thinks Indochina is India+China. How cute he is !

#10. I got an A1 for Chinese Prelims! Hopefully I can repeat that for the 'O' level Chinese paper on May 31. *Crosses fingers*

Okay, I'm done with my review of my life at present. Hope this makes for a substantial blog post since I probably won't be blogging for awhile. Also, hopefully life gets better than this (cos' it's less than desirable now). Haha!

TODAY I GOT MY MONEY BACK FROM VIJAYA!!!

Okay I should elaborate right?

For Express Yourself Day (EYD) last week, we had to dress up as literary characters. SO I gave Vijaya the Idea that we can rent a costume from PA. However as I couldn't make it on the day Vijaya was going and Vijaya didn't bring enough money, we worked out a plan that she would rent my costume and I would lend her money to rent her own costume. So I lent her $40 ($20 for mine + $20 for hers)

HOWEVER, she didn't rent my costume as the cost of rental exceeded $20 (it was $38.15 and yes, we checked the website, there were additional costs in the fine print, I assume). SO she just rented her own and didn't rent mine and she only told me about it AFTER she rented. No, not BEFORE.

So she has been owing me $40 (a big sum for a student) and I've been pretty anxious about it cos' I don't know her too well and she has a reputation for not returning stuff or taking a long time to return stuff.

Luckily she returned the money TODAY! (albeit in all coins which made both Joelance and Samantha pretty mad) But Idc cos as long as she returns it I'm OK. And if I deposit it in the bank and withdraw it again, it will turn into notes! lol!

Yesterday's yesterday, something mortifying happened.

I shall not elaborate further but it just left me exhausted, annoyed, infuriated, embarrassed and hungry. I didn't go for either Japanese class or Bio remedial. And even though I deny being angry with Joelance, Mr Lim, Queenie ...... I am. But whatever. Being angry publicly does nothing for me. It probably makes me seem like a brat. Anyway I only have my own stupidity and ignorance to blame.

Jialun got 2 tatts! The one on her shoulder says 'float' but I don't know what the one on her rib says. I think she's so brave cos' tatts are painful. My mum said she likes pain, lol.

Today I had NAPFA 2.4km run. It was okay (neither good nor bad). No stiches!

Today I had some Leadership Training thing today so I had to go back to school .

We played this game which was super super super super super super super super super disgusting .

It was the conveyor belt game where we have to roll on top of each other. SO grotesque! I had to roll on people and get rolled on. When it was over my neck hurt, knees hurt and hips hurt . Plus, I felt so dirty .

Anyway, the holidays are almost up and I haven't finished all my homework, as usual . I think the teachers are overestimating our abilities to do homework continuously without losing concentration . Besides, it's the holidays! Who wants to stay at home all day doing schoolwork ? Only Haritha who has a bossy stay at home mum to force her to do the homework can do it, albeit unwillingly.

Yesterday was Meet the Parents Session. I got Mdm Lum, the teacher who shouts in my ear. Surprisingly she said lots of good stuff about me and said I am a potential top student. lol, I'm getting swell headed again . Haha .

After that, I watched To Kill a Mockingbird by Toy Factory.

It was very disappointing .

The script was good but the acting was horrible. The actors seemed to be confused with their nationality cos' their accent was somewhat Singaporean+Mexican but never Southern.

Also, the other students from my school were all wearing uber glam stuff like they were going for the After-Awards Party at the Oscars . Eg. Alicia wore nice red jacket and super high heels that I couldn't wear plus heavy heavy makeup (which I still don't know how to apply). I felt like a kindergartener next to them cos' I was just wearing normal shirt and jeans and zero makeup plus messy-as-usual hair . My mum sorta defended me by saying Alicia looked like a prostitute. Good old mum .

Z. At least it was subsidised by the school. $52 to $30, yay .

Oh yes, I'm watching Queen Seon Deok right now. It is awesomesauce. So good, so delicious, so riveting. I stayed up until 1.30am to watch it even though I had to go for MTP the next day. It was so heartbreaking... I was like crying while watching it . And then I couldn't sleep cos' I was so excited for what would happen next. I swear, I'm addicted. And I'm only at episode 2X.

Woo! It's already the 2nd day of Chinese New Year but I haven't blogged about anything!

Haha I shall now blog about the most important part!

I got.... *drumrolls* $522 in angbao money! (more than usual)

I think it's because this year my birthday falls on CNY so people gave me more angbao money instead of presents. I got less presents this year and more money (which is all the same to me) .

Also, we had a wonderful reunion dinner! Tom Yum Steamboat + Hot plate chicken + German Sausages = delish~

Today we had time assignments (like tests) for English and Social Studies. I couldn't finish Social Studies but I think I did well for English . *Looking on the bright side here*.

I just recovered from dengue fever!

I bet it was because my neighbours were collecting rainwater to wash his and her car/van and water the plants. They had a case of dengue too! I just know it was them! When the NEA people came and told them to remove the water tank, I stopped getting bitten by mozzies everyday! Thank goodness that stupid tank is gone now!

Now I have a lot of stuff to do and needle marks all over my left elbow cos the nurses were drawing blood to check if I had dengue over and over again. I visited the GP Clinic 2 times and the hospital 3 times. So annoying. At least I got a break from school and alot of well wishes from my friends and teachers. At first we thought it was stomach flu cos' I didn't have rashes. But when I broke out in rashes, then we suspected dengue fever.

I'm just glad it's over now. I felt fugly the week I was home and couldn't eat anything cos' I had no appetite which is just abnormal for someone like me. (Today my family went out to eat Dim Sum now that I'm better! Yay!)

Yesterday I watched Sherlock Holmes (finally ) and I would say it was better than Avatar, in terms of plot . It was amazing to see how the story unfolded. At the end of the day, it was clear that Guy Ritchie , the same man who directed the flop that was Cloverfield, had thought the sequence of events through . At the end I almost thought he wasn't going to reveal how Dr. Blackwood had faked his death but he did explain that, which gives him brownie points . Another reason why Sherlock Holmes pwns Avatar is because it has Rachel McAdams in it . Yay Rachel McAdams !

Today was frankly, TIRING.

I forgot to bring my math homework. Thankfully my new math teacher, Mdm Lam didn't punish me for it.

During Chinese I sat alone cos' I think everybody sits with their cliques (I don't like the sound of cliques thus I choose not to have one) and everybody I sat with last year is either sitting with other people or moved to the other class. Hais.

Today I conducted interviews for Library & Publications Club. Yes. Library and half of media club have merged. Guess when they told us about it. Yesterday. I didn't even know the people from media club until today. Retarded. The Sec 1s generally look pretty dense. Their writing ability is frankly, horrendous. Generally speaking. There are alot of issues we need to work out. Seriously. Even the teachers-in-charge don't seem to know what to do. It's terrible. I know, I sound awfully pessimistic but that's what I'm feeling right now! The treasurer from media club has >$100 in funds UNcollected from the members for a T-Shirt that reads "MEDIA CLUB Publications & Photography". Can you imagine how hard it will be to collect $? Ugh. I wouldn't want to be in her position. Plus, now we have 2 presidents and 1 president. And the Media Club president is not usually present. Funny. Anyway, I think it will all work out eventually.

Well, it's time to add a new archive: 2010.

Mm... 2010 has an ominous feeling about it: weird. It doesn't seem right for some reason. But it's probably the oversensitive me acting up again.

Anyway, recently I'm hooked onto this k-drama: IRIS. It's awesomesauce. It's the first drama my brother watches. I repeat: my B-R-O-T-H-E-R watches. That should be enough to encourage any normal person to at least put it on the potential watch list.

I've finished all homework EXCEPT lit and that nagging geog question which I will do later since I found article already.

And, I'm back to Maplestory again. It brings me the utmost joy. Yippee.

Another thing I've been working on is Japanese lessons. I'm giving online lessons on a forum. Haha. I wonder how much of it is poorly typed. Probably something like 99%. But, I try my best and I'm appreciated for it. Love!

Today I went with my bro to get my phone fixed at Plaza Singapura but before that, we went to The Cathay to get Ben and Jerry's ice cream! I ordered Chunky Monkey. It was very funny! While I was trying to put my change into my wallet, the ice cream rolled off the cone onto the floor. So I picked it up with my hands (don't worry, I observed the 5 sec rule) and put it back on the cone. But it rolled off again (and I picked it up again). I dropped my ice cream 2x! lol!

At Samsung, for some reason, all the counters were manned by Fillipinos! It's strange. The fixing is free cos' of warranty but I have to wait 3 days. In the meantime, I'm using my grandmother's phone which is an LG Ice Cream Phone in pink. Her phone is better than mine. The screen is so clear and it is so user friendly. My phone is extremely user un-friendly. For the first time I had to read the manual to figure out how to use it.

I just realised today, I have broken all my phones except for the first one I used which was a Motorola. Maybe the next time I get a phone, I should get a Motorola because maybe it is my lucky phone.

Today sucked.

The debate was today instead of tomorrow but that isn't the point.

The point is, the debate was fucking rigged.

We were told that there would be people from other reputable schools there but we were the only guests there.

This was clearly made to humiliate us.

The entire venue was filled with people from SCGS who were obviously supporting their own teams. We were so alone.

I think the whole sec 3 cohort of SCGS was there because all of them take either pure lit or ss/lit.

And the debate itself sucked. I did my best but my best clearly wasn't good enough. And people screwed up from my team. People laughed at us.

We didn't even stay for the whole event because Mdm Audra was clearly very angry and just got us to leave first.

Plus, I took the wrong bus and ended up at Changi instead of back home. So I took like 2 hours to go home.

But, I have no regrets of my performance because I know I did my best, given my circumstances. So I'm just looking on the bright side.

After listening to loud Incubus and Paramore all day, I now have a major headache. Lol. Well that's what the holidays are for, aren't they ?

Anyway, my holiday homework status is pathetic now, compared to people such as *ahem* Joanne and *ahem* Yin Shuen . Haha. But, at least I've started, right?

Yesterday I watched the final episode of The Painter of the Wind! Oh my gosh! The ending was so sad but I don't want to spoil it for anybody so I shall not state what it is.

For some reason when I talk about said drama to my friends, they have no idea what I'm talking about . Maybe it's because 'twas on cable and not free to air TV so most couldn't watch it . Anyway, I'm pretty sure it will hit Channel U soon because all great Korean hits do . Boys Over Flowers did, Goong did, and so shall The Painter of the Wind . Then maybe I shall rewatch it ? Because I love Moon Geun Young ? Or because the OST is genius ? Or because I am just random ? Haha!

I think The Painter of the Wind is my favourite K-Drama . Seriously. This is the 3rd blog post involving The Painter of the Wind . Gosh.

Oh, before I forget. On Thursday, I have this debate competition about To Kill a Mockingbird . Whoever planned this debate must seriously have no life . So tomorrow I have to go to school (yuck) to have discussion about the debate . I hope i'm 2nd speaker . Cos' it's easiest . LOL .

I am officially in love with The Painter of the Wind!!! The storyline, lead (Moon Geun Young) and soundtrack -- ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! I'm serious! I can barely resist the temptation of watching the last 2 episodes illegally. *dies* And one of the songs, Yearning (Impossible Dream) by Jo Sung Mo, is playing in my head repeatedly, as if it were taunting me or something but better (!) because I love that song!

It sure feels good to finally get that out of my system. Now I can move on to more important things, like cleaning my room. Ciao!

Today was the last day of official school. We had a ceremony for the top 3 people of each class for them to recieve their report books on stage. But my class only had 1 person (Jiewei) recieve her report book on stage because the mean teachers only allowed the people with less than 12 points to have this privellege and only Jiewei got 12 points or less. It was so embarrassing! Every single person in the hall noticed that there was only 1 person from my class when from every other class there were 3 people! What the fuck.

Anyway, I think I have improved because I improved my Cs to Bs even though my L1R5 increased from 12 to 14. Yeah I think it's the look of the report card that matters. I still qualify for the course I want so I don't mind about the L1R5.

Oh yeah. Even though its the last day of official school today, next week I have extended lessons because my O levels are next year. So sad.

Hello again, Blog. Today I had a rough day.

Although it's marking day today, the school made us go back for some post-exam activities. Though it was quite interesting, admittedly, it's not worth sacrificing a precious day of relaxation for it. I'm still angry at whosever brilliant idea this was. I even tore out some of my hair this morning while I was being annoyed, like the little bitch I really am inside.

After school was finally over, I went to the MOE CCA Branch at Evans Road, which is near NUS Bukit Timah campus, for a leadership workshop. It was quite fun at first. I got to meet new people from Bowen Secondary School and CHIJ St. Nicholas. However, it soon turned sour because one of the people from my school, Marilyn, told me to stop talking to them. I replied, "Not talking to them would be antisocial." And she said that you must keep quiet so that you will appear 'pro-er', which is apparently more fitting for an elite school and talking to them would supposedly affect my image (?). So I can't even socialise anymore.

It made me question myself for awhile. But after a long bus ride back home, I decided not to. She's so arrogant. I don't think I will inhibit myself from making friends and enjoy myself for the sake of a non-existent reputation. Jeez, wouldn't not socialising just make yourself look silly and proud?

Today was the last paper (Lit) !

Set text was okay but unseen prose was no good, cos' the questions were not easy to answer with evidence. AAH. Anyway,

Summary of Exams!
English: Okay.
Japanese: Good except listening and oral.. (see below)
Chinese: Essay not so good.
Social Studies: I finished! For the first time since forever !
EMath: I know how to do everything but cannot finish. @@$%%@ !
Geography: I finished the paper with no major problems while doing the questions.
Biology: I failed. Seriously, it's damn obvious? Crapped out the entire Section B .
AMath: Yay I know how to do everything and can finish !

So since the end of exams is a cause to celebrate, Mabel, Vanessa, Yunyi (is that how you spell it), some girl I don't really know but whom I met today and she told me her name but I can't remember it right now but it starts with the letter S, Yining, Isabel, Carene, Edna, Wanting and I went to Macdonald's! Weeeeeeee!

Then, I went shopping for the first time in ages!!! But I had no choice to go to J8 cos' I was collecting my Japanese paper later at the MOELC. Anyway, J8 was damn boring. The sale I was looking for had fucking ended. I was sad . ness had an offer of up to 70% discount which made my eyes light up but all their clothes weren't nice. They had frills everywhere. If there is one thing I don't like on clothes, it's frills. Z! I saw 3 shirts I liked today but 2 cost $69.90 and 1 cost $60. What a fucking rip-off . I saw another shirt that I was quite satisfied with and it only cost $33. However I decided against it as it was a little too plain. According to the tag, apparently it's a camping shirt. There's a type of shirt for camping?

So I had walked the entire mall in 1 hour and not bought anything. There was nowhere to go, unfortunately, so I went to the library to read a book so that I could kill time. I read a book called 'Castration Celebration'. Funny title huh? It was a cool book but it was filled with sex . There was stuff in it about blowjobs and gay sex .

Finally it was time to go to the MOELC. I got my results which was 70.4 (A!) for the End-of-year exam paper itself! But because of my other tests, etc, it was pulled down to a 67-point-something which is still good, except I dropped a grade but I'm pretty satisfied with a B. When I glanced through the list I saw that a lot of people got more than 80 marks!! So I didn't actually do that well if you were to compare it with the rest of my class. Haha !

I'm waiting for my piano teacher to arrive, again . She was supposed to come at 3.00 but she called at 3.30 to say she can only make it at 6. So since it's 5.52 I'm waiting for her.

Today we had Chinese exam. I can't believe I forgot to bring my dictionary!!! But my mum came through for me. She's probably going to scold me later for being so careless but I was too sleepy and blur blur to remember such a significant detail early in the morning .

Anyway, I did my compo. No problems there but since I didn't want to do 说明文 or 报章报道, I had to do 记叙文 which wasn't really good to write this year .

Since I had already made up my mind not to do 说明文 since you have to be very knowledgeable about the topic, it was between 报章报道 and 记叙文.

For 报章报道, the question was on the latest new law that if you eat or drink anything on the bus (even water), you will be fined $200 on the spot if a patrol officer sees you doing it. It was a fairly easy topic . But the risk with 报章报道 is that there may be some terms you are unable to explain in Chinese even though you know them in English, eg. the names of ministries, etc.

For 记叙文 it was very restrictive cos' they had practically spelt out the entire topic . The topic, translated to English was "You saw your mother and older sister arguing again about her massive handphone bills. In your recount about the incident include the series of events that unfolded, the conclusion and your thoughts." Everything was spelt out exactly . There was no room for imagination at all . However I still chose 记叙文 cos' I was worried about the potential complications I might run into if I had chosen 报章报道 . I still managed to write a pretty original 记叙文 ending, though .

Open-ended comprehension today was pretty simple . The passages were easy to understand . The vocabulary part was bad as usual but I already expected that. However the MCQ comprehension was HARD ! All the options seemed to be correct for me . I've a feeling I didn't do too well for that .

The Perfect Disaster

Today I screwed up Japanese Oral. It was a perfect disaster, like a supernova except not as pretty.

Oh and I sort of spread my cough to Mabel today. Oops. Sorry Mabel, if you read this anytime soon .

On a lighter note, I can memorise the entire RazorTV interview with Ris Low, the new Miss World Singapore 2009 and re-enact the entire scene perfectly. Mabel was like screaming, "Don't Memorise That! You Will Become Like Her!" (Or something along that line.) Cos' you see, Ris Low speaks mediocre English, to put it bluntly. Even if you ignore the bad grammar and pronounciation, her answers are pretty shallow. And recently it was unveiled that she is under probation for fraud so she may not be able to go to South Africa to represent Singapore for the international Miss World pageant (not that most of us still want her to go). I pity her, really. It wasn't her fault.

I blame the judges for putting her through.

And will they just reveal themselves already?!?! Sheesh, putting a young and innocent girl through all this.

There's a new short story showing on Channel 8 during the advertisements. I've already watched it a couple of times and I feel it's really good. It's made to like encourage Singaporeans, I think? Starring Paige Chua.

*In Chinese, though you should get it even if you don't understand Chinese.

The first part is about the little girl when she has some kind of mental problems or something and she often talks to inaminate objects, imagining herself in different scenarios, eg. she consoles the tap cos' it is 'crying', scolds the basketball hoop for bullying others because it's taller than everyone else, pretends to be lovers with the flower, etc. Her classmates tease her about it, calling her crazy. Then the little boy steps in and defends her. They become friends. The part where he holds the lollipop is when the little girl is asking him if he thinks she is weird. He shook his head and answered, "No, you are special!"

The second part is after the little girl has grown up, the lady auditions for an acting role. She expresses all the feelings she had learnt to express when young during the audition which was about a scene between a girlfriend and a boyfriend (the girlfriend is scolding the boyfriend or something). She acts brilliantly so she gets through the audition. She runs out and meets her own boyfriend who is presumably the same guy as the one she met when she was a little girl (played by Zhang Zhenhuan) and they embrace each other. Awwwww....

So touching right? I love the background music! *Falls in love*

Critical Level

Right now I'm listening to one of the BGMs of the Korean drama series 食客/ Gourmet (I don't know what it's called in Korean, neither can I type Korean). It's seriously very good. I feel like buying the whole OST lah! Yesterday I kept listening to the BGMs of the various scenes in my head. The tune is seriously very memorable. It's so great that I don't want to download it illegally cos' I feel like it will be underminding the effort the producers took to make it. Every theme is so grand and beautiful and it captures the emotions very well. But, I don't think it can be bought in Singapore unless I buy it online which I can't do cos' I don't have a credit card .

The drama itself is also very good. I feel like I can relate to the male lead character cos' the acting is very real. It's not very cliched and stuff even though the setting is quite unbelievable (A restaurant run by the descendant of the grand chef in ancient times?!?!). There is no one in the story I can really hate cos' it's quite understandable. The only guy I don't like is the current owner of the restaurant cos' he's such an obnoxious guy. However, I know he only acts like that on the outside cos' of his insecurity on the inside. So from this you can tell that the script is also written very well. The pace of the story is also very good. It doesn't feel too draggy but it never misses out on any details either . Not to mention, the food in the show looks absolutely delicious !

Yesterday I also read this book called Black Box. It seriously made me cry. I'm glad I didn't read it in school cos' it would be very embarrassing, seriously. I just couldn't stop crying, the girl was so sad. It's about a girl whose sister has depression but when I read the book I felt as if the girl without depression deserved more pity. Her only friend was also terribly kind and I just couldn't believe the truth about his past (which I shouldn't reveal in case someone reads it). I really recommend it as the emotions in this book are portrayed with depth and complexity. It is a quick read and the words are fairly simple but the emotions are hard and intense.
